A chemistry teacher diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer begins manufacturing and selling methamphetamine with a former student to secure his family's future. Celebrate the fan-favorite series Breaking Bad by revisiting some of its most memorable scenes. Jesse Pinkman was originally supposed to. be written out until episode 9. During the hiatus caused by the writers' strike, creator Vince Gilligan, impressed with Aaron Paul's portrayal of Jesse and the fact that everyone liked Paul, decided to reinstate the character and give Jesse's fate to another character in the first season finale. The opening credits, letters in the cast and crew names are highlighted in green to represent chemical element symbols. However, the "Ch" in Michael Slovis' name was highlighted in many early episodes, even though Ch is not a chemical element symbol. In later episodes, only the "C" (for Carbon) is highlighted. Walter White: Who are you talking to now? Who do you think you're seeing? Do you know how much I make a year? I mean, even if I told you, you wouldn't believe it. Do you know what would happen if I suddenly decided to stop working? A company big enough to be listed on the NASDAQ goes out of business. Disappears. Ceases to exist without me. No, you obviously don't know who you're talking to, so let me give you a hint. I'm not in danger, Skyler. I AM the danger. A guy opens the door and gets shot, and you think that about me? NO! That's me knocking! In the opening credits, chemical symbols from the periodic table of elements are used as part of the names: bromine (Br) and barium (Ba) for the title, none for creator Vince Gilligan (except when he gets a V for vanadium), one for the cast and crew members. All episodes were shown in some territories on an on-demand cable channel, commercial-free but with additional scenes not included on AMC.
